Snow fell lightly in the cityscape, covering trees and the sidewalks far below in a white dusting. Kids happily running up and down the concrete, catching the flakes on their tongues, taking some snow off the ground and throwing them in the air again, and trying to make snowballs of the powdery substance only to fail and throw powder at each other.
Pitch stood atop a building, watching the children carefully, standing at ease as he noted how much darker it was getting. I don't know what had compelled me to bring a rake up to the house and rake up the leaves in this backyard, maybe it had been because of the fall mood in the air, maybe it was my random OCD, maybe it had been because the last time I'd raked up leaves had been many falls ago.
I smiled at the memories, back when everybody on my street knew each other and were friends, not the mess it had become now. My family only really had two famili
